Your host Colin Brooker was born in England 1936. He commenced a career in engineering and management in 1954 which took him to Africa (4 years), the Caribbean (20 years), the South Pacific (4 years), the far East (7 years) and London (3 years).

He retired in 1991 to Grand Turk, the birthplace of his wife Lucy. Drawing from his vast experience of staying in fine hotels all over the world began the creation of Island House, his ideal of what a small Inn should really be.

The degree of success can be measured by comments made by past guests.
